Sui Yuan (Lab manager)

I am both the Lab Manager of CHAT Lab and an active researcher in Communication and Education. I received my bachelor’s degree in Communication and Literary Translation from the University of Connecticut. I later earned my master’s in Education from Johns Hopkins University. I began my research journey in 2023, starting with social media and mental health, as well as foreign language anxiety. My work includes qualitative, quantitative, and especially meta-analytic and meta-meta-analytic studies, with meta-analysis being my primary focus. As technology continues to shape everyday life, it is increasingly woven into how we communicate, learn, and seek support—whether through social media, digital platforms, or emerging AI tools that are becoming part of daily routines and decision-making. In this context, my interests have gradually expanded to AI, social media interventions, and mental health and well-being, with a particular focus on vulnerable populations.
