The CHAT Lab is recruiting PhD students and postdoctoral researchers for Fall 2026.

We welcome applicants who are interested in topics related to adolescents’ social media use and mental health, AI mental health chatbots, AI companions, human–AI relationships, and youth digital wellbeing.

Applicants with backgrounds in psychology, communication, education, human–computer interaction, public health, computational social science, or related fields are especially welcome. I am particularly interested in working with students and researchers who are motivated, methodologically rigorous, and excited to develop impactful research on how digital technologies shape children’s and adolescents’ wellbeing.
